Job summary

Accensis is seeking a SAICA Audit Trainee to conduct statutory audits for diverse clients and prepare financial statements. You will liaise with client executives, complete accounting tasks accurately, and collaborate on projects while developing a solid understanding of accounting principles.

This role requires travel to client sites, a completed B. Com degree with SAICA accreditation, and CTA/PGDA registration progress. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• SAICA Accredited B. Com Degree – Completed.
• CTA/PGDA registration and enrolment or plan to complete such in the near future.
• Must be available to start immediately.
• Must be willing to travel to clients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts full statutory audits on various firms in private and public sectors.
• Prepares financial statements for various entity types and group consolidations.
• Calculates taxes payable by individuals, companies and trusts.
• Advises clients on VAT, fringe benefits and other tax issues.
• Liaises with client executives during the audit process.
• Completes assigned accounting tasks accurately and efficiently; collaborates with team members.
• Participates in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

The SAICA Audit Trainee is responsible for conducting statutory audits for various firms, preparing financial statements, calculating taxes, and advising clients on tax matters. The role involves liaising with client executives throughout the audit process, completing accounting tasks accurately, collaborating on projects, understanding accounting principles, and participating in professional development.

Responsibilities

• Conducts full statutory audits on small to medium-sized and large-sized firms in the private and public sectors.
• Prepares financial statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Private Companies, Close Corporations and Trusts and group consolidations.
• Calculates taxes payable by Individuals, Companies, and Trusts.
• Advises clients on requested tax issues such as the treatment of VAT, Fringe benefits, dividend tax issues and the research and development process.
• Liaises with the executive members of clients at the planning, during and concluding stages of an audit engagement.
• Completing assigned accounting tasks accurately and efficientlyWorking collaboratively with team members on various projects
• Developing a solid understanding of accounting principles and practicesParticipating in training sessions and professional development opportunities
