Job summary

Sappi invites recent graduates to join a one-year internship in the Risk, Safety, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) team in Pietermaritzburg. The program provides hands-on experience under mentors, helping you transition into the professional world.

You will participate in risk assessments, act as safety officer during maintenance shutdowns, conduct safety inspections, capture daily safety reports and assist with incident investigations to build foundational SHEQ skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced Diploma/ Degree in Risk Management, Safety Management or Occupational Hygiene.
• No prior experience required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
