Job summary

DNV in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, offers an internship in Electrical Engineering specializing in power systems. You will work on network code studies across regions including Southern Europe and the Middle East, using PSS/E and DigSilent for simulations and modeling.

Responsibilities

• The intern will be involved in network code study projects in South Africa, Southern Europe and the Middle East.
• The intern will use software tools such as PSS/E and/or DigSilent Power Factory to model and run steady-state and dynamic simulations that verify network code clauses.
• The intern must actively collaborate in automating development processes through Python scripts to automate executions, create graphs and facilitate reporting.
• Be involved in the digital modeling and simulation of energy systems.
• The intern is also expected to contribute to the automation of said service.
