Placements24 seeks an Aircraft Powerplant Technician for Centurion, Gauteng, to perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of jet engines and components, ensuring safety and performance.

The ideal candidate holds a technical qualification in Aircraft Mechanical Engineering with engine ratings and has at least five years of hands-on jet engine experience, strong diagnostic skills, and familiarity with engine manuals and tests. Willingness to work overtime as required.

Qualificações

• Requires a relevant technical qualification in Aircraft Mechanical Engineering with engine type ratings.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct jet engine experience (e.g., CFM56, V2500, PW, GE).
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex engine issues.

Responsabilidades

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on jet engines and components.
• Conduct visual and instrumental inspections of blades, vanes, chambers, and bearings.
• Diagnose engine faults using diagnostic equipment and performance data.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble engine components per specs.
• Run engines and perform post-maintenance checks to verify parameters.
• Maintain complete maintenance records and histories.
• Ensure compliance with SACAA regulations and safety procedures.
• Follow proper handling of hazardous materials and tooling.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, and technicians for quality workmanship.
• Participate in continuous improvement of engine maintenance processes.
