Role Overview
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining Solar MD's internal IT infrastructure, as well as supporting and monitoring IT systems deployed at client sites. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on problem solver with a solid technical foundation, capable of overseeing a wide range of systems, from network and server management to virtualization, web service monitoring, and end‑user support.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring business continuity, system security, and the reliable performance of both internal and client‑facing technologies.

- Infrastructure Management & Maintenance : Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all IT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, VOIP systems, CCTV, and virtualization environments.
- Client‑Site System Support : Provide remote and on‑site support for Solar MD's IT equipment and installations deployed at customer locations, ensuring optimal uptime and performance.
- Web Service & System Monitoring : Oversee web‑based systems and online services, ensuring continuous availability, performance optimization, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and administer IT infrastructure (hardware, software, and network systems).
- Support IT equipment installed on client sites, performing diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Monitor and manage web‑based services and cloud environments for uptime, performance, and security.
- Configure and maintain Mikrotik routers, switches, and related network devices.
- Manage company servers, storage solutions, virtualization, and data backups.
- Oversee cybersecurity practices, including firewall management, antivirus administration, and access control.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical support to staff and assist with hardware / software issues.
- Implement system updates, upgrades, and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain and document IT processes, configurations, and policies.
- Manage IT inventory, licensing, and equipment allocation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure IT systems support operational objectives.
Education
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 3+ years in IT administration, systems support, or network management.
- Proven experience in configuring and managing Mikrotik devices and RouterOS.
- Experience in web service monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Hands‑on experience supporting on‑site and remote systems.
Technical skills
- Strong knowledge of IP networking, routing, and switching (Layer 2–7).
- Deep understanding of TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, STP / RSTP, and VLAN configurations.
- Familiarity with VOIP, SIP protocols, and CCTV systems.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and IT governance.
- Solid understanding of web hosting and server‑side monitoring tools.
