IT Systems Engineer (Tier 2)

Are you a seasoned IT professional with strong technical skills and hands-on project implementation experience? A fast-paced team in Johannesburg is looking for an IT Systems Engineer (T2) who thrives in complex environments and delivers exceptional support across infrastructure, cloud, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Providing advanced desktop, server, and field support
• Managing and resolving escalated tickets and major incidents
• Implementing IT projects, onboarding new clients, and deploying infrastructure
• Supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms
• Troubleshooting across Windows, macOS, Linux, and network environments
• Maintaining system documentation, backups, and performance monitoring
• Delivering VIP support and clear technical communication to clients

Qualifications

• Matric or NQF equivalent
• A+ and N+ (CompTIA)
• MCSA or equivalent (AZ900, MS900)
• 5+ years’ experience in IT support and field service roles
• Proven experience in IT project implementation and client transitions
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, servers, switches, routers, and telephony systems
• Familiarity with ITIL and COBIT5 frameworks (certification is a plus)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
