Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient systems architecture (physical, virtual, and cloud-based).
  • Lead and manage projects related to infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and system integrations.
  • Provide advanced technical support and root cause analysis for system outages and incidents.
  • Manage Windows / Linux servers, Active Directory, Exchange 2019, Microsoft 365, and virtualization platforms (e.g., Nutanix).
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure, especially in Microsoft Azure.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance system performance and security.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, tools, and practices across infrastructure and endpoints.
  • Monitor system and network logs for anomalies using various Analysis & EDR tools.
  • Apply OS and application patches regularly and manage endpoint protection platforms.
  • Enforce IAM policies including MFA, RBAC, and least-privilege access models.
  • Support vulnerability assessments, audits, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
  • Design and maintain comprehensive backup strategies for physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Manage enterprise backup and recovery tools (e.g., Veeam).
  • Schedule and monitor backup jobs, ensuring integrity, encryption, and successful replication.
  • Perform regular testing of backup restores and disaster recovery (DR) plans to validate readiness.
  • Lead incident response related to data loss, corruption, or ransomware events.
  • Maintain documentation for backup policies, DR runbooks, and RTO / RPO objectives.
  • Support business continuity planning and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure resilience.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in a systems engineering or senior infrastructure role.
  • Deep understanding of Information technologies ,ie, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange / O365, Microsoft SQL, Firewall platforms, Networking.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., Nutanix).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Experience with configuration management tools.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS Controls).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., MCSE, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CCNA / CCNP, Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA), Azure Database Administrator Associate, Veeam (VMCE).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to ITIL practices and service management tools.
  • Experience working in a regulated or security-sensitive environment.
Working Conditions
  • Participation in an on-call standby rotation is required.
  • Occasional travel to remote business units as needed.
