Job summary

A prominent financial services provider in Pretoria is seeking an experienced IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST to manage technical support and supplier relations. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical issues in a non-technical manner. A B – IT degree or diploma is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. This is a permanent, office-based position offering a competitive salary and benefits.

A prominent financial services provider has an exciting career opportunity available for an experienced IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST, to join their dynamic team in PRETORIA, GAUTENG.

This is a permanent position and office based, which offers a market related salary, including company benefits.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum matric, with a B – IT degree or relevant diploma in IT or Computer Science highly advantageous and beneficial to the role.

Up-to-date technical certifications such as CompTIA, CompTIA N+ and Endpoints essential.

Minimum 3 years' relevant working experience within an IT support role.

Minimum 3 years' proven experience in IT systems administration, cyber security management principles and system infrastructure maintenance.

Proven experience in managing desk top support and supplier management i.e : Cisco, Mikrotik, Amazon and Google is a requirement to the role.

Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office product range.

Solid knowledge and a thorough understanding of IT network administration – hardware and software infrastructure management.

Excellent knowledge and experience working with, and troubleshooting issues via Windows Operating Systems.

Solid knowledge and experience in the technical repair of computer hardware.

Other Requirements

Effective and professional supplier management.

Fully bi-lingual and eloquent in Afrikaans and English : speak read and write.

The highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to professionally translate and communicate highly technical issues in a non-technical language.
