Qualifications

• Minimumqualification: National diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT application support, preferably within a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for warehouse application systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve issues related to software applications and escalate when necessary.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure stability and performance of warehouse IT applications.
• Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff to enhance understanding and usage of IT applications; provide ongoing technical support.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements through technology to increase warehouse efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, incidents, resolutions, and procedures for knowledge sharing.

Purpose of the Role:

To develop and implement the business & operational plans, policies, and procedures for the successful management, support, and security of related system applications currently used, as well as any newly implemented applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for warehouse application systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve any issues related to software applications and escape to relevant teams when necessary.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance to ensure the stability and performance of warehouse IT applications.
• Conduct training sessions for warehouse staff to enhance their understanding and usage of IT applications. Provide ongoing technical support and guidance.
• Work proactively to identify opportunities for process enhancements through technology, contributing to increased efficiency in warehouse operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of systems, incidents, resolutions, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
• Analyzes and evaluates the technical performance and reliability of products, systems, and services against identified industry standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Implements technical service restorations and troubleshooting procedures for identifying, testing and diagnosing computer system and peripheral equipment faults.
• Implements and coordinates standards, procedures, processes, and daily activities for the operations group.
• Supports new technologies, data center performance and reliability.
• Provides input and recommendations regarding business continuity issues and improvements to the operations of systems and processes supported.
• Investigates business requirements and proposes subsequent solutions.
• Ensures optimal availability of related systems, e.g., content production applications portfolio, in order to meet the contracted service levels for 2nd and 3rd level support.

Minimum Required Qualification:

• National diploma in Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in IT application support, preferably within a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
