Job summary

Network Finance seeks an experienced IT security professional to implement, manage and maintain security infrastructure across our enterprise in the North West region of South Africa. You will respond to security incidents, perform threat detection and mitigation, and support governance, risk and compliance initiatives.

You will develop Linux scripts to automate processes, administer access controls, and document security procedures while collaborating with technical teams to improve controls

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IT security experience required.
• Experience with security infrastructure, operations, and incident handling.
• Proficient in Linux scripting and access control administration.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessment, and GRC.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, manage, and maintain IT security infrastructure.
• Respond to security incidents and assist with security investigations, threat detection, and threat mitigation.
• Conduct vulnerability management activities and risk assessments.
• Support Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives.
• Develop and maintain Linux scripts to automate and improve work processes.
• Maintain and administer access controls for servers, systems, and related environments.
• Assist with the integration of systems and platforms.
• Document, maintain, and improve technical working procedures and security processes.
• Provide technical security support and guidance to technical teams.
• Assist with identifying security risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT security controls, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Support the secure operation and maintenance of server and system environments.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in IT security.
• A+ certification.
• N+ certification.
• Security+ certification.
• Linux+ certification.
• Practical experience in IT security infrastructure and security operations.
• Experience with access control, vulnerability management, incident response, and risk assessment.
• Good Linux knowledge and scripting capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and support enterprise IT environments.

Advantageous Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Microsoft qualifications or certifications.
• Additional Linux qualifications or certifications.
• Additional cybersecurity or information security qualifications will be advantageous.
