Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Delivery: Lead the complete project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure) for high-impact Technology Services projects, ensuring they meet their intended outcomes.
- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, define scope, secure and coordinate all necessary resources, and manage interdependencies across teams.
- Risk & Change Management: Proactively identify, analyze, and manage project risks and issues. Drive organizational change management to ensure adoption and success.
- Financial Oversight: Take ownership of budgeting and financial management, including preparing forecasts, rigorous expenditure monitoring, and detailed variance analyses.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Ensure effective communication with all stakeholders. Oversee internal teams and external vendors, managing procurement activities and fostering a cohesive team dynamic.
- Quality & Assurance: Implement robust project tracking, quality assurance protocols, and conduct performance evaluations to maintain high standards of delivery.
- Process Improvement: Drive service improvement and innovation by staying current with best practices and contributing to the refinement of internal project management processes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field (NQF-7) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of IT project management experience within a complex, enterprise-scale environment is non-negotiable.
- Methodology Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in recognized project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile/SAFe) and established project governance structures.
- Core Competencies: Exceptional skills in planning, facilitation, analysis, and communication (both written and verbal).
