Our client, an advisory firm, is currently seeking an experienced Procurement Consultant with a strong focus on the IT sector to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide expert support to clients by optimizing procurement strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and driving cost savings in the IT procurement space. Preference will be given to contractors or non-permanent staff for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct spend analysis to provide valuable commercial insights and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to implement tailored procurement strategies.
  • Advise clients on best practices for procuring IT products and services.
  • Lead procurement activities such as RFx processes, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management (including MSA, SOW).
  • Analyse supplier performance and market conditions to offer actionable recommendations.
  • Align procurement strategies with clients' business objectives, focusing on cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Foster strong relationships with IT suppliers and vendors to benefit client engagements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years in IT procurement (private sector) at a management level, handling RFx processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management. Multinational company experience is preferable.
  • Minimum Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, IT, Business, BSc, or related fields.
  • IT sourcing experience, contract management (MSA, SOW), supplier performance management, cost reduction, and value enablement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, excellent communication, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
