Emeris Westville Campus has a vacancy for a Part time Lecturer within the School of Computer Science in the following module for the 2026 Academic year:
- IQTT5111 - Introduction to Quantitative Thinking and Techniques
Key Performance Areas
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Assertiveness and dynamism
- Understanding of customer service in education
- Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively
- Masters in IT or Computer Science
- Alternatively, an NQF 9 qualification that includes IT or AI topics
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
- Lecturing experience in Computer Science or AI related topics
- Work experience in an IT field with exposure to applications of AI
Working Conditions
- Please note that this is a Part-time role with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00
- Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status

Key Performance Areas :
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
- Assertiveness and dynamism
- Understanding of customer service in education
- Demonstrate an ability to manage work and self proactively
- A minimum of a Master\'s degree in IT or a related field that includes research methodology
- Alternatively, an Honours degree that includes a subject in research methodology and demonstrates exposure to a range of research methods
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of two years lecturing experience in ICT-related topics
- Supervision experience of successful students is advantageous
