Duties & Responsibilities

Role RequirementsInstall, configure, and maintain Unix / Linux servers ensuring optimal performance and uptimeMonitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide timely solutionsApply system updates, patches, and security fixes as part of routine maintenanceCreate and maintain comprehensive system documentation including procedures and troubleshooting guidesSupport compliance with security standards and company policiesDeploy, manage, and operate workloads on AWS and Azure with security controlsTrack and update JIRA user stories ensuring project deadlines are metEnsure system stability and adherence to Group's Operations standardsMaintain quality and up-to-date content of knowledge base for sub-productsManage Problem, Incident, and Change processes for dedicated ITSM servicesProvide standby support and weekend coverage when requiredKeep documentation current across all relevant systems (CMDB, Application Instance Wizard, Connect IT, resolveIT)Attend and moderate operational meetings with stakeholdersImplement automation solutions for routine operational tasksEnsure high availability and disaster recovery capabilitiesCollaborate on cross‑functional teams on infrastructure projectsAdditional responsibilities as per AWM Charter or department manager directionNB : South African citizens / residents preferred.
