Job description

AVOXI is seeking an IT Help Desk Technical Support professional to join our global team from Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will provide technical support to a global workforce using Apple MacBooks and various cloud technologies including Google Workspaces and Salesforce. The typical day will be 8a-5p South Africa Standard Time responding to user requests and working special projects to help business users apply new technology to their business challenges. There will be some schedule variations to accommodate special events and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to user requests for technical assistance via tickets, email, or Slack.
  • Procure, provision, and store new hardware
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Apple MacBooks and user’s local networks.
  • Support and maintain cloud technologies including Okta, Google Workspaces and Salesforce.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all support requests and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support for Apple MacBooks and cloud technologies.
  • Experience with an MDM solution such as Filewave
  • Strong knowledge of Apple operating system (MacOS) including terminal use for systems administration.
  • Understanding of common consumer networking configurations including home routers, VPNs, and Wi-Fi access points
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Mac scripting (AppleScript, Javascript, Python) experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce user management is a plus.

This position requires some travel in the Johannesburg, SA area to deliver hardware to users in the region.
