Job description
Experience

At least 5 years IT Support Experience using M365 products and SharePoint. Customer Focused. Excellent Windows 11 support skills. Knowledge of TCP / IP and Network support. Must have a good understanding of basic security support. A working knowledge of Linux.

Duties and Responsibilities
Hardware
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support existing computer workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones and other equipment
  • Replace faulty hardware
  • Configuration of new hardware
  • General Hardware Support
Software
  • Install Operating systems as per SRK standards
  • Install M365 Software
  • Assist in the Installation of technical software as required by various departments
  • Configuring, support and updating of installed software
  • Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems
  • Support Linux operating systems use for modelling.
  • General Software support
Networking
  • Connecting PCs into AD
  • Printer installation on PCs
  • Making up of network cables
  • Supporting LAN and Wi-Fi network issues when they arise
General
  • Close out call logs timeously and efficiently
  • Telephonic support to users
  • Document procedures, configurations, settings, installation sequences and back-out instructions
  • Flexibility Be willing to take on a new position at the company or accept additional responsibilities when asked
  • Ensure desktop computers connect seamlessly with associated systems, file servers, email services, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems
  • Travel to regional offices to carry out maintenance when required
  • Assist with 3D printing requirements
Backup & restores
  • Loading of tapes in Illovo backup units when required by the Networks team
