Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for an experienced IT Auditor in Cape Town. The successful candidate will perform IT risk assessments, conduct IT audits, and evaluate data integrity and system security. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years' experience in IT audit are required. Strong report-writing skills and stakeholder engagement are essential. Qualifications

Summary

IT Auditor needed in CPT!

Position Info

This role supports the protection and assurance of the organisation’s IT systems, data integrity and technology governance.

The successful candidate will evaluate IT risks, assess control effectiveness and provide recommendations that strengthen system security, resilience and reliability.

This position requires a blend of IT governance understanding, audit methodology experience and the ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.

Duties

• Perform IT risk assessments to identify assurance priorities.
• Conduct IT audits in line with the approved audit plan.
• Assess IT General Controls (ITGC) and application controls across systems.
• Perform reviews of system implementations, enhancements and change management.
• Evaluate business continuity, disaster recovery and information security controls.
• Conduct system development audits and cloud governance maturity reviews.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Draft audit findings and reports that are evidence-based and actionable.
• Provide guidance on IT risk and controls relating to applications, infrastructure and security.

Job Experience & Skills Required
