Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Linguistics is required.

About the Role

This role is critical in fostering a deep appreciation and understanding of the IsiZulu language, while also enhancing students’ cultural awareness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities
• Deliver engaging and interactive language instruction, promoting both oral and written proficiency in IsiZulu
• Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, quizzes, and informal assessments
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration
• Incorporate cultural elements into the curriculum to enrich the learning experience
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators to enhance overall curriculum development and student success
• Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers regarding student progress and any concerns
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language education

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, or a related field
• Proficient fluency in IsiZulu and English, with excellent communication skills
• Demonstrable experience in teaching languages, preferably IsiZulu, in a classroom setting
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a supportive learning environment

Preferred Qualifications
