Irrigation Solutions - Business Development & Technical Consultant

Introduction

Our client in the Agricultural sector is seeking a professional and results-driven Business Development & Technical Consultant to join their team in the irrigation division. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering superior customer service, expanding their client base, and supporting business growth. This position reports directly to the Business Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice and high-quality service to customers.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding orders and product inquiries.
  • Facilitate accurate and efficient sales transactions.
  • Monitor available stock and manage inventory levels proactively.
  • Ensure product displays are neat, current, and correctly priced at all times.
  • Develop and expand the existing client base through strategic relationship-building.
  • Conduct client visits periodically or upon request.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Product Managers to source special-order products as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Experience in irrigation, gardening, and / or agriculture required.
  • Grade 12 (matric) qualification.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer literate.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Self-disciplined, with the ability to work independently.
