Currently, Teltonika South Africa (a subsidiary of Teltonika IoT Group) is looking for a IoT Solutions Engineer to join us in our South African Office. In this position, you will report into the Teltonika Telematics and GPS Support team and will collaborate closely with our sales team. This IoT Solutions Engineer will work with installations of our devices as well as assisting clients via our ticket system, to be considered you must you have previous experience in working with industrial GPS trackers (2-3 years).

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

• Guide employees and customers on how to use Teltonika Telematics devices and solutions (consult, provide trainings)
• Solve technical issues and ensure prevention
• Ensure constant supervision and preparation of devices technical documentation
• Assess customer needs of new features, raise proposals for its’ implementation and supervise implementation process
• Coordinate queries with R&D, Production, QA, Supply management
• Communicate directly with clients to answer technical questions (conference calls, visits to clients)
• Perform quality assurance tasks before providing solution to customers

WE BELIEVE THAT YOU

• Are fluent in English (both spoken and written) as it will be your primary working language
• Have technical / engineering education
• Can analyse and solve complex technical problems
• Have excellent communication skills
• Are a self-starter that is solution orientated and will find ways to gather information to solve complex tasks
• Understand the basics of telecommunication systems and IOT technologies: 2G, 3G, 4G Bluetooth, ability to explain GNSS technology fundamentals
• Have the ability to analyse and solve technical problems
• Have knowledge of software, operating systems, server operation and programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, Python) essentials
• Have experience working with IoT solutions (1-Wire, RS-232/RS-485, Modbus, MQTT, TLS) and secure Cloud based systems (AWS, Azure) would be an advantage
• Have practice with ticket based platforms (Jira, OpenProject, Service Desk) would be a bonus
