Job summary

Job description

To manage, review and reconcile for all inventory movements impacting Supply Chain, specifically finished product movements. Additionally, to report and follow up on Key Performance Metrics for OU's outside of SA. This role reports to the GBS Head of Finance.

Principal Accountabilities
Inventory Management
  • Reconcile all inventory movements between plants through management of inventory recording & dips and liaising with relevant internal parties in order to ensure inventories are on track and up to date
Inventory Processing
  • Manage processing of inventory movements between depots, pipelines and ships, and EDI movements through cross-collaborations with relevant departments (Supply and other) to achieve smooth implementation of process across the value chain
Inventory Monitoring
  • Conduct analysis of inventory volumes and movements by reviewing stock gains & losses and capturing dynamic inventory data/information in relevant databases to be used for management updates and decision making
Inventory Assurance
  • Conduct and support assurance activities by reviewing of depot activities and monitoring internal & external audit activities to ensure that all Inventory activities adhere to relevant policies, procedures and guidelines
Output
  • Reconciliations signed and complete (3rd Party and Owned)
  • Stock counts logged and managed
  • Stock losses accounted and signed off
  • Overall Inventory Management
  • Resolving audit queries
Requirements
  • NQF Level 7 (Degree in Finance/Accounting)
  • Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management (Advantageous)
  • CA(SA) advantageous
  • 2 years' experience in a Management role
  • 4 years' experience in Supply Chain and/or Inventory Management (Advantageous)
