Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Corporate Communications Officer to manage internal and external communications from its Upington office in the Northern Cape. You will craft messages, manage channels, and support public relations initiatives for the organization and stakeholders.

The candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications/PR/Journalism and at least 3 years of corporate communications experience, with strong writing, editing, and content creation skills, plus proficiency in MS Office and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate communications or a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
• Experience with content creation for diverse audiences and platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement internal communication strategies to engage employees and disseminate company information.
• Create and manage content for internal newsletters, intranet, and other communication platforms.
• Support the public relations team in developing external communication materials and media responses.
• Assist in organizing corporate events, town halls, and stakeholder briefings.
• Ensure brand consistency across all internal and external communication materials.
• Monitor communication effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
