Job summary

Salix Recruitment in Johannesburg is seeking a newly qualified CA(SA) to join as an Internal Auditor. You will work across the retail, manufacturing and industrial sectors, gaining broad commercial exposure and taking ownership of key audit assignments.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified to 1 year post-articles experience.

Responsibilities

• Assessing business processes to identify key risks and controls.
• Evaluating the internal control environment and developing audit programmes.
• Conducting audits to identify control deficiencies, potential fraud, regulatory gaps and deviations from policies and procedures.
• Preparing detailed working papers, computations and audit reports.
• Providing practical recommendations to improve controls and business processes.
• Handling complex audit elements and issues escalated by management.
• Presenting audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Building strong professional relationships with key stakeholders.
• Supporting the implementation of recommendations and conducting follow-up audits.
• Contributing to process improvements and the development of the broader audit team.

The role is Johannesburg-based, with the opportunity to work across various business operations and travel to key cities across South Africa.
