Job summary

Avbob in South Africa is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Internal Audit team to develop, implement and maintain a QAIP that aligns with IIA standards.

You will drive quality reviews, report to senior management and Audit Committee, and promote best practices across audit processes.

This role focuses on strengthening governance, risk management and internal controls while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of internal control and internal audit practices.
• Familiarity with QAIP development and maintenance.
• Experience implementing IIA and global internal audit standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a multi-year QAIP for Internal Audit.
• Conduct internal quality reviews and periodic self-assessments.
• Prepare QA reports and recommendations for senior management and Audit Committee.
• Evaluate adherence to audit methodologies across planning, execution, reporting.
• Coordinate external quality assessments and follow up on actions.
• Promote continuous improvement and best practices in the audit lifecycle.
