A leading technology company in South Africa is seeking an experienced Scrum Master or Agile Coach to guide cross-functional squads. This role involves facilitating Agile ceremonies, promoting continuous improvement, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Ideal candidates will have over 4 years of experience in an Agile environment and relevant certifications. Join a culture built on trust and empowerment.
Coach and guide two or more cross-functional squads within an Agile Release Train. Cultivate a high-performing, empowered culture built on trust, openness, and accountability. Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure they are purposeful, engaging, and outcome-driven. Partner with Product Owners to maintain prioritised backlogs and align delivery with business goals. Proactively identify and remove impediments affecting delivery progress. Support and coordinate ART-level ceremonies such as PI Planning, PO Sync, Scrum Sync, and Inspect & Adapt sessions. Collaborate with other Scrum Masters and RTEs to enhance flow and cross-team alignment. Promote continuous improvement, helping teams inspect, adapt, and evolve.
Relevant IT Qualification (Degree or Diploma) advantageous. Recognised Agile certifications such as CSM, A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM I / II, SSM, SASM, SA, or ICP. Minimum 4+ years' experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Leader in an Agile / Scaled Agile environment. Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with proven practical application. Strong facilitation and coaching skills to foster empowered, high-performing teams. Experience supporting PI Planning, Agile Release Trains, and ART-level ceremonies. Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and Miro. Solid knowledge of the SDLC, release processes, and Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, predictability, WIP).
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. High emotional intelligence and servant leadership mindset. Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and optimise delivery flow. Between 3 - 5 Years.
