Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Gauteng is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor. Candidates should have a BSc in Quantity Surveying and 3–7 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing cost estimates, managing project budgets, and liaising with clients. A valid driver’s license is required. The salary is between R 40 000 - R 45 000 CTC per month.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-7 years relevant experience in Quantity Surveying roles.
  • Registered or eligible as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP.
  • Valid driver's licence with travel capability.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide financial forecasts.
  • Perform measurements from drawings and on-site inspections.
  • Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and value variations.
  • Compile and price tender documents; attend briefings and evaluations.

Our client, a leading construction and engineering firm, is seeking a skilled Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Gauteng. Minimum requirements :

  • Matric
  • BSc or BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying
  • 3 - 7 years relevant experience in Quantity Surveying roles
  • Registered or eligible as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
  • Proficient in WinQS, DimX, and advanced Excel
  • Valid driver’s licence with the ability to travel to sites as required
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide financial forecasts
  • Perform measurements from drawings and on-site inspections
  • Prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and value variations
  • Monitor project expenditure and compile monthly cost reports
  • Compile and price tender documents; attend briefings and evaluations
  • Administer contracts, ensuring compliance and accurate documentation
  • Act as client liaison on financial and contractual matters
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
