Job summary

LexisNexis Reed Tech seeks a software developer to translate product requirements into robust software solutions. You will design program flows, implement code, and unit test across Java/J2EE, JavaScript, and React, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver complex data models.

You’ll participate in agile processes, code reviews, and ensure high-quality standards through test-driven development and comprehensive code coverage. Remote flexibility varies by location.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with data manipulation languages.
• Understanding of data modeling principles.
• Ability to work with complex data models.
• Proficiency in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, React.
• Familiarity with industry best practices — code coverage.
• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Knowledge of test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolve technical issues as necessary.
• Complete bug fixes.
