Minimum Requirements:

• Three-year tertiary qualification.
• Relevant working experience in a corporate & business environment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong proficiency in relevant computer packages (MS Office) and software packages (Revit, Sketchup, Lumion, Winner, 3D Max).
• Experience in managing small & large-scale projects.
• Experience in managing a team of designers would be advantageous.

Duties:

• Oversee the design team with regards to the design schedule, workflow and output, as well as meeting strict deadlines.
• Good technical knowledge of the building design and construction industry.
• Develop and implement successful design strategies, outlining how the design team will create deliverables and implement them for the project.
• Manage designers, evaluating individual design deliverables and overall team performance.
• Participate in design meetings and provide continual input to optimize the design and minimize futile work.
• Evaluate and motivate designers toward continued growth and leading design solutions.
• Assist internal and external customers technically.
• Participate in departmental strategic planning.
• Manage the distribution and production of project workload within a team.
• Negotiate scope-of-work, deliverables, and price with consulting firms.
• Develop a comprehensive scope-of-work and contract document deliverables list for each related discipline.
• Assist in developing Design Delivery Schedule along with the client, Project Manager, and consultants.
• Submit daily/weekly reports to give regulated communication on tasks.
