To provide advanced technical support guidance and training to both internal teams and customers on John Deere technology solutions. The role focuses on enabling effective use of precision technology ensuring data-driven uptime and supporting continuous improvement in product performance and customer experience.
Requirements
Minimum Education / Training
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Qualified Technician(Agricultural)
Minimum Work Experience
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience after qualification including exposure to management or supervisory functions
- Previous experience with John Deere Precision Technology (Agriculture Construction or Forestry) advantageous
Key Performance Areas
- Provide expert technical support to technicians and branch teams on John Deere precision technology and integrated systems through ExpertConnect.
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to precision guidance, telematics and machine optimisation.
- Support proactive and predictive maintenance initiatives through systems such as JDLink, Expert Alerts and Operations Center.
- Conduct internal and customer training to enhance digital literacy and technology adoption.
- Collaborate with Sales Service and Parts teams to demonstrate technology value and ensure seamless solution delivery to customers.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Report on technical issues, recurring challenges and improvement opportunities to drive continuous learning and operational efficiency.
Technical Knowledge / Competencies
- Strong understanding of John Deere product range and integrated technology solutions
- Advanced computer literacy (JDLink Operations Center diagnostic tools and related applications)
- Excellent communication and coaching skills

- Valid drivers licence
