Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive and analytical Insurance Risk Analyst to join their team in Upington, South Africa. You will identify, assess and quantify risks across insurance products and operations, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks while ensuring financial stability and regulatory compliance.

You will build risk management frameworks, conduct product risk assessments, monitor mitigation effectiveness, and prepare reports for senior management, with a hybrid work model

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, or related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in risk analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in statistical software and tools.
Excellent understanding of risk management principles and techniques.
Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex information clearly.
Familiarity with SA insurance operations and regulatory environments.
