Duties & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Life Insurance Manager to join a boutique financial and quantitative modelling consultancy, supporting clients across the banking and insurance sectors.

In this role, you will manage multiple projects, contribute to business development, and apply your knowledge of industry developments and regulations such as Solvency II and IFRS 17.

  • Deliver actuarial consulting services to life insurance clients
  • Support senior colleagues in building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Lead small projects or sub-projects, ensuring high-quality results on time and within budget
  • Keep up to date with insurance and reinsurance market developments, regulatory changes, and product innovations
  • Communicate complex actuarial concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to intellectual capital development and support new business initiatives
  • Travel to client sites as required
Who You Are
  • Qualified Life Actuary with extensive life insurance experience in consulting or life (re)insurance
  • Strong technical understanding of actuarial principles, financial modelling, and risk management techniques
  • Experienced in Capital / Solvency II, IFRS 17, and (preferably) product pricing and model review
  • Proven ability to lead small teams and manage multiple projects successfully
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills
  • Flexible, client-focused, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences
