Commercial Broker Support Consultant
Location: Tygervalley, Cape Town
Type: 12 months contract
Salary: R13 000 pm
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Commercial Broker Support Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our Commercial broker network, ensuring smooth policy administration, and supporting business retention through proactive communication and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic and email support to intermediaries, authorised brokerage representatives, and broker service teams.
- Handle general insurance and policy-specific enquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Manage the issuance of new policies, policy maintenance, renewals, and agri-policy aspects.
- Resolve insurance queries within required timeframes and in line with compliance and regulatory standards.
- Conduct client follow-ups on cancelled policies to identify reasons and attempt to retain business.
- Adjust premiums according to updated asset values.
- Manage client expectations by clearly communicating turnaround times for requests.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting criteria and regional requirements.
- Assist brokers with client profiling to recommend suitable products and coverage options.
- Provide advice and guidance to brokers to ensure clients receive the most appropriate cover.
- Contribute to the implementation of process improvements and service enhancements.
- Provide backup support to Consultants during peak periods or absences, ensuring continuity of service.

Qualifications & Experience
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential).
- A relevant insurance qualification (e.g. RE, FAIS credits) would be advantageous.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in COMMERCIAL insurance administration or broker servicing.
- Sound knowledge of insurance products, policy administration systems, and regulatory requirements.
