Location: Netherlands (relocation from South Africa supported)

What you'll do:

  • Design and develop electrical (E/I) installations for bridges, sluices, and rail infrastructure, including schematics, layouts, and cable calculations.
  • Select and specify hardware components, creating accurate material lists and detailed Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations (NEN1010, NEN3140, IEC 62061, ISO 13849, SIL/PL, Machinery Directive).
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across software, mechanical, and civil engineering.
  • Support installation, testing (FAT/SAT), and commissioning activities, ensuring safe and reliable system performance.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
  • Around 5 years of experience in similar projects (bridges, sluices, or infrastructure).
  • Experience with EPLAN (required).
  • Knowledge of machine safety and standards such as SIL/PL.
  • Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented and team-minded attitude.
