Are you passionate about creating engaging, high-quality online learning experiences? We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Academic Services team on a 1-year contract. In this role, you will work closely with faculty and instructional design teams from partner universities to develop effective, student‑centred online courses and learning materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and support to faculty and instructional designers in conceptualising, designing, and developing online course components.
- Apply evidence‑based instructional design principles to create engaging and effective online learning experiences.
- Support the development of multimedia learning materials including audio, video, and simulations.
- Advise partners on best‑use educational technologies to enhance the online learning journey.
- Manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, maintaining timelines and overcoming challenges collaboratively.
- Review and refine online courses to ensure relevance, quality, and alignment with best practices, including conducting quality checks prior to external reviews.
- Conduct research and analysis to understand the needs of adult learners in an online environment.
- Contribute to ongoing innovation and continuous improvement within the Academic Services team.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field preferred.
- 2–3 years’ experience in online course design and development, ideally within higher education or corporate training.
- Proficiency with Canvas and at least one other Learning Management System (LMS).
- Quality Matters Certification is advantageous.

- Strong understanding of adult learning principles.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and various educational technology tools.
- Professional level English communication skills.
