The role requires a B.Ed. or PGCE with CAPS knowledge, SACE registration, and at least 3 years of primary teaching experience. A collaborative environment and ongoing professional development await the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed. or PGCE) with a focus on Foundation or Intermediate Phase teaching.
• Registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in primary school English Home Language.
• Strong understanding of the CAPS curriculum and effective literacy teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver dynamic lesson plans for English Home Language, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
• Assess student learning through various methods, including assignments, tests, and continuous observation, providing timely feedback.
• Integrate diverse teaching strategies and resources to cater to different learning styles and needs.
