Job summary

Curro Holdings Ltd is seeking an Intermediate Phase Teacher (full-time) at Curro Thatchfield in Centurion to commence duties in January 2027. The role involves teaching and coordinating a range of subjects as per the Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase.

The teacher will foster knowledge transfer, skills development and positive learner attitudes. Preference will be given to EE candidates and a CV with qualifications and SACE registration is required for online applications.

Qualifications

• BEd and/or PGCE in intermediate phase teaching.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an intermediate phase teacher.
• Knowledge of the IEB curriculum.
• Proven facilitation, problem-solving and report-writing skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach and coordinate a range of subjects per Curro curriculum for the intermediate phase.
• Plan lessons using modern tools and process
• Review and adjust term plans to fit pace and lessons
• Manage classroom design, setup, and disciplinary rules
• Set up and manage formal and continuous assessments and rosters
• Plan and manage homework, revisions and peer marking
• Arrange extramural activities and outings
