Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology (IT) Project Manager located in Johannesburg.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery and managing resources.
• Plan projects, communicate with stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Lead and manage the development team through Agile methodologies, ensuring developers remain focused, accountable, and aligned to sprint commitments.
• Facilitate Scrum Master duties while maintaining an operational team management culture.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, removing impediments, coordinating across departments, and ensuring transparent communication of project status and capacity.
• Support transition to Model‑Centric Programming by aligning delivery processes with structured, logic‑first development approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT project delivery, software development or Agile coaching roles.
• Technical knowledge in Information Technology, including familiarity with IT infrastructure and systems.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master with certification (CSM, PSM or equivalent) highly desirable.
• Experience in team management, including performance management, leave administration and attendance tracking.
• Proficiency in program management and project planning methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and facilitation of Agile ceremonies.
• Previous experience in a software development environment, preferably with full‑stack development teams.
• Working knowledge of development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git / GitHub.
