Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Officer to bolster security operations in Stellenbosch. You will oversee day-to-day implementation and monitoring of security controls to protect data and systems, including incident detection and response, vulnerability management, and policy compliance.

The role targets a detail-oriented professional contributing to the security posture of the organization in the scenic Western Cape region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in information security or IT security support role.
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, and endpoint detection.
• Understanding of network security principles and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with data privacy regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities
