Placements24 is seeking an Information Security Analyst in Benoni, Gauteng. You will join a dedicated incident response team to detect, analyze, and respond to security events using SIEM, EDR, and IDS/IPS while collaborating with IT and management.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of information security experience, with optional certifications such as Security+, CEH, or GCIH. Hybrid work arrangement available in the East Rand region.

Qualifications

• Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH, or GCIH are advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years in information security, focusing on incident response or security operations.
• Hands-on experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Understanding of attack vectors, malware analysis and digital forensics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience in a hybrid work environment and willingness for on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

This role is crucial for detecting, analyzing, and responding to security incidents to minimize impact and protect the organization's assets. You will work with advanced security tools and collaborate with various teams to ensure swift and effective resolution of security events. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining essential on-site collaboration with the flexibility of remote work, situated in the vibrant East Rand region of Gauteng. Key Responsibilities
