Job summary

Placements24 client in Upington seeks an Information Security Analyst II to join our dedicated security team. The role focuses on monitoring, analysis, and response to threats to protect critical information assets in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with advanced security tools, perform incident response, vulnerability checks, and contribute to security documentation and training. A Bachelor's in a related field and 2–4 years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 2–4 years of experience in an information security analyst role.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools and network security monitoring.
• Understanding of attack vectors, threat intelligence, and incident response methodologies.
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
