Gauteng Department of Health seeks a Clinical Programme Coordinator- Infection Prevention & Control to lead the IPC program. The role requires a nursing registration with SANC, a post-basic qualification in Nursing Administration, and a minimum of seven years' relevant nursing experience.

An IPC qualification will be advantageous. The position is on-site in Gauteng, South Africa, with responsibilities including policy implementation, SOP development, training, and monitoring IPC and waste

Formación

• Grade 12 certificate and registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse (General, Psychiatry & Midwifery).
• Diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent that allows SANC registration as a Professional Nurse.
• Post-basic qualification in Nursing Administration (1 year).
• Minimum 7 years' nursing experience after registration.
• One-year qualification in Infection Prevention and Control from a recognised institution.

Responsabilidades

• Implement the National IPC Strategic Framework and SOPs for IPC, waste management, environmental health and decontamination.
• Develop and implement IPC-related SOPs and HCWM procedures; monitor compliance.
• Conduct IPC training and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting on IPC and waste management.
• Monitor compliance through audits and spot checks; provide feedback to management.
• Develop outbreak response plans in line with national guidelines and engage IPC champions.
