Could you be the full‑time Industrial Quality Engineer within our TRAXX Project (Fixed Term Role) in Nigel, Gauteng, we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial quality expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, dynamic, and innovative team of professionals.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring product quality compliance with customer and internal specifications, making a tangible impact by driving quality performance and achieving operational excellence. Day‑to‑day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including the Process & Manufacturing Engineering (PME) team, Supply Chain (SC), and Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), contributing to cross‑functional quality initiatives and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of analyzing Defects per Unit (DpU) and External Demerits to improve quality performance, but also support decision‑making for production handovers and participate in customer inspections.

We’ll look to you for
  • Managing industrial activities in the workshop, focusing on people, processes, and performance
  • Leading efficient Line Quality Animation with cross‑functional teams
  • Ensuring mandatory safety and quality standards are upheld, including the authority to stop production if necessary
  • Contributing to Process FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) and Criticality Matrix analysis
  • Implementing and updating Quality Control Plans during pre‑ and serial manufacturing activities
  • Managing Internal NCR (Non‑Conformance Reports) and supporting the team using problem‑solving methodologies
All About You
  • Degree or diploma in Quality Management, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 5 years of experience with Quality in Industrial
  • Technical background enabling the understanding of critical characteristics of the products (electromechanical, electrical, material, mechanical) or equivalent
  • Must be able to read drawings / specifications and familiar with a variety of test equipment
  • Experience or understanding of quality tools and problem‑solving methodologies
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, IRIS, or CMMI
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and digital tools
  • A Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
