Job summary

Netcare invites applications for a maintenance technician role in our engineering division. The successful candidate will perform repair, maintenance and installation of electrical machinery and equipment across hospital facilities, ensuring safe and reliable operation.

Essentially, a Matric or related NQF level 4 qualification and a National Diploma (Electro-Mechanician, Mechanical Artisan, or Millwright) with at least three years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Essential Matric or related NQF level 4 qualification.
• National Diploma Electro Mechanician, Mechanical Artisan or Millwright.
• Three years’ experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations relating to machinery.
• Knowledge of building regulations for hospitals, theatres, and industrial kitchens.

Responsibilities

• Facility maintenance and upkeep of electrical equipment.
• Perform repair, maintenance and installation of electrical machinery and equipment, devices and appliances.
• Conduct inspections, fault finding and problem resolution on devices and machines.
• Report on condition and functionality of plant and machinery.
• Ensure cost control through preventative maintenance and prompt response to breakdowns.
