Placements24 is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer in George to lead supply chain optimization across procurement, warehousing and transportation. You will employ simulation tools and data analytics to reduce lead times, cut costs and improve service levels, while collaborating with operations, IT and logistics teams.

The role requires 4+ years in industrial engineering with a strong lean/Six Sigma background and hands-on experience with WMS and TMS systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a technical field (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or related)
• 4+ years progressive industrial engineering with a supply chain focus
• Experience with simulation software and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities

About the Role

Our client, a leading logistics and supply chain provider based in George , is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to spearhead efforts in optimizing their supply chain operations. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with essential on-site collaboration to drive tangible improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing existing supply chain networks, identifying inefficiencies, and designing innovative solutions to enhance speed, reduce costs, and improve service levels. Leveraging advanced analytical techniques and simulation tools, you will play a critical role in transforming how goods move through our distribution channels. This position requires a proactive engineer who thrives on problem-solving and possesses a strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, and inventory management principles. You will work closely with operations managers, transportation specialists, and IT teams to implement and monitor solutions, ensuring seamless integration across the entire supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a specific focus on supply chain optimization.
• Proficiency in supply chain simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, ExtendSim) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma, and their application in supply chain contexts.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Ability to work effectively in both remote and on-site environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage timelines.
