Placements24 in Centurion invites an experienced Industrial Engineer to lead process automation initiatives in our FMCG client operations. You will design, implement, and maintain automated control systems integrating PLC, SCADA, and HMI to boost production efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
4–7 years experience in industrial engineering with focus on process automation and control Systems.
Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens/Allen-Bradley) and HMI/SCADA development.
Experience with industrial networks and protocols (Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.
Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automated control systems for manufacturing processes (PLC/SCADA/HMI).
Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems for performance and reliability.
Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and IT for seamless integration of automation solutions.
Develop process control strategies and algorithms to achieve production goals.
Create and maintain documentation (P&IDs, schematics, code).
Conduct root cause analysis for automation failures and implement corrective actions.
Evaluate new automation tech and equipment to enhance capabilities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
