Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and driven Industrial Engineer at our Worcester branch.

The responsibilities of this job include but are not limited to the following:

The Continuous Improvement Engineer (Industrial) is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality in the Spray booth.

They work closely with production teams to analyse current processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Candidate must be willing to relocate or travel to Worcester daily and work one of the following shifts:

06 : 00 14 : 30 / 07 : 30 16 : 00 / 07 : 30 16 : 30

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties:

  • Conduct detailed analysis of current production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Use Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process improvements.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets and must lead and manage continuous improvement projects.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Train and mentor production staff on continuous improvement methodologies and best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure continuous improvement initiatives are effective.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on improvement activities and outcomes.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and quality teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to promote continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all process improvements comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum of 2-3 Years Industrial engineering experience in a Spray booth environment (Manufacturing and engineering environment)
  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering
  • Knowledge of Spray painting & different paints / primer.
  • Knowledge of Acid spray treatment and effluent plants will be beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement and project management practices
  • Proficiency in continuous improvement technologies and methodologies
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g. Minitab, Excel)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills
