Placements24 in Benoni, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to ensure accurate measurement, control, and monitoring of industrial processes through calibration, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated instrumentation.

You will work with sensors, transmitters, control valves and PLC/HMI systems, engaging in calibration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting while maintaining safety standards and documenting activities; hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field (e.g., NTC, S4).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems maintenance.
• Proficiency in calibrating and troubleshooting various types of sensors, transmitters, and control valves.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, microprocessors, and digital/analog signal processing.
• Experience with PLC systems and HMI interfaces is highly advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in industrial environments, particularly hazardous areas.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Benoni, Gauteng and adapt to a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsabilités

• Install, calibrate, and maintain a wide range of industrial instruments, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic control systems, PLCs, and associated hardware.
• Perform routine checks and diagnostics on instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the chemical processing industry located in Benoni, Gauteng , is looking for a skilled Industrial Electronics and Instrumentation Technician. This critical role ensures the accurate measurement, control, and monitoring of industrial processes through the calibration, maintenance, and repair of sophisticated electronic instruments and control systems. You will work with a variety of sensors, transmitters, control valves, and automation systems to maintain plant efficiency and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electronics, instrumentation, and a good understanding of industrial control loops. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of on-site technical work and remote system analysis or reporting.

Key Responsibilities
