Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Cleaner for a Welkom-based facility. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards in an industrial setting, with responsibilities spanning machinery, floors, and production areas.

You'll safely manage chemicals and waste, perform deep cleans, and ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed. Training and hazard-pay potential are offered as part of a comprehensive program.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in industrial cleaning or heavy-duty cleaning roles.
• Safe handling of chemicals, solvents and heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and compliance.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments with varying conditions.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform industrial cleaning of machinery, equipment, floors, and production areas.
• Safely handle and dispose of industrial waste, chemicals, and hazardous materials as per regulations.
• Conduct deep cleaning, including degreasing, power washing, and sanitizing large surfaces.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools, ensuring good working order and storage.
• Adhere to site-specific safety procedures, including PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to minimize disruption to production.
