Placements24 is seeking a diligent Industrial Cleaning Technician for on‑site work in Rustenburg, North West. You will handle heavy cleaning tasks on machinery, processing plants and workshops, using high‑pressure jetting and industrial vacuums while strictly following safety protocols.

The role requires physical fitness, chemical handling knowledge and the ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, in a challenging industrial environment. Training and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• Understand chemical handling, safety procedures and PPE.
• Physical fitness to perform strenuous tasks and shift work.
• Must reside in Rustenburg or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Execute specialized cleaning procedures for industrial machinery, equipment, and plant infrastructure.
• Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment, industrial vacuums, and other specialized cleaning tools.
• Safely handle and apply industrial‑grade cleaning agents and solvents according to strict safety data sheets (SDS).
• Perform degreasing, descaling, and general maintenance cleaning tasks as required.
• Conduct thorough site inspections to identify cleaning needs and potential hazards.
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Manage cleaning schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks within production downtime.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper storage of cleaning materials and tools.
• Work effectively as part of a dedicated cleaning crew in a dynamic industrial setting in Rustenburg .

Requirements

• Proven experience in industrial cleaning, preferably within a mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment.
• Demonstrable ability to operate and maintain various industrial cleaning machines and tools.
• Thorough understanding of chemical handling, safety procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation (e.g., OHS Act).
