Job summary

RED|LINE Recruitment is seeking an experienced Industrial CAD Technician in Cape Town to translate customer and design requirements into precise technical drawings and production documentation. The role supports Sales, Design and Manufacturing teams with drafting, documentation and technical guidance.

The ideal candidate will have CAD qualifications, strong detailing skills, and knowledge of BOMs and production documentation. Experience in furniture or office environments is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Qualified in CAD, Mechanical Design, Engineering Drafting or related field.
• Experience as CAD Technician or similar technical design role.
• Experience in manufacturing, furniture, or office fit-out environments is advantageous.
• Proficient in CAD software and producing detailed technical drawings.
• Familiar with BOMs and production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop and modify detailed drawings using CAD software.
• Produce drawings based on customer requirements and design concepts.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision histories.
